There is a lot of talent and ability on the perimeter in this class, and there’s a handful of bigs that aren’t too shabby as well. Here is the new top 10 that will debut at the end of the month:
Colby Jones (Mountain Brook)- Clear cut No. 1 in the 2020 class. Jones was an impact player for the Alabama Fusion on the EYBL Circuit this season. The 6’5 guard will be the primary scoring option for Mountain Brook this season.
Rongie Gordon (Sidney Lanier)- The 6’8 forward is a physical specimen and multiple SEC programs have been seen watching him on a consistent basis. Gordon has the ability to be a stretch/ face up 4 given his improved ball skill and improved shooting range.
Austin Harvell (East Limestone)- Harvell is a 6’6 small forward who does whatever is necessary for his team to win. In July, he finally looked close to 100% healthy and had some athletic highlights. Harvell will be the go to guy for East Limestone.
Jalen Myers (Bob Jones)- Myers is one of the most improved players in the class. The 6’6-6’7 small forward has a smooth offensive game, and the kid is a dog on the glass. No surprise that Auburn has extended an offer.
Mark Sears (Muscle Shoals)- Sears was an instrumental part of the Fusion’s success this season. The floor general emerged as a go to scorer, and showed the ability to create for others. Sears has several LM to MM schools tracking him.
Giancarlo Valdez (Decatur Heritage)- Valdez was the guy for Pro One Select this season. This kid was one of the most consistent athletes all spring/summer. The 6’3 guard showed the ability to score from all 3 levels, and showed off improved playmaking ability.
Tommy Murr (Lindsay Lane)- Murr is a stud. This kid has a high IQ and can play on/off ball. The 6’1 guard is known for being the nation’s leading prep scorer (45 ppg), but Murr has shown he can be more than a scorer. Murr played very well at the Nike Peach Jam.
Antwan Burnett (Sindey Lanier)- Burnett is a 6’4 physical and athletic guard. He has really good positional size, and this kid can guard 1-3. MM level and some HM level programs have been tracking Burnett. Schools love his physicality and versatility.
Jadan Coleman (Bob Jones)- Coleman has really good perimeter size at 6’3-6’4, and this kid is an elite shooter. He has good length on perimeter and the potential to be more than a specialist. Coleman stuck to his role during AAU, but showed more ability at team camps.
Trey Bonham (UMS-Wright)- Bonham has become a favorite of ours to watch. He plays hard and does what it takes to win. The 5’11 point guard put on offensive shows during team camps. This kid is easily one of the top point guards in the state.
