The class of 2020 is a group that still has quite a few players that haven’t seen a boost in their recruitment but are very much deserving, so we take a look at some of those players.
Team Trezz & Kinston HS PG Isaac Parson: He had a nice spring and summer, catching the attention of quite a few with his play as he is a quick guard with a nice IQ for the game. Constantly on the attack but not out of control very often, you have to like what he can bring to a team on the next level.
910 Vengeance & Northside-Jax Forward Quincy Martin: This will be a huge few months for Mr. Martin as he is still without an offer but has some interest following a nice spring and summer. He’s 6’5 with a nice skillset, ability to play the SF and PF spots, and is on tap to have a breakout year for the Monarchs. LM and D2 programs should be tracking and planning to see him this year, he’s a great student and will be one that will be an asset on and off the court.
Fayetteville Flash & EE Smith Forward Jaylen Siermons: He was a double/double machine during the high school season and the same followed during the AAU basketball season. He’s strong, athletic and has shown the ability to stretch a defense with a much improved jump shot. If he can stay locked in and put in the work needed over the next year, he should see his stock rise in a nice way with some offers.
First Flight HS Wing Jordan High: We didn’t get a chance to see him during the AAU season but he is one that we really like as a solid overall player for the next level. He’s about 6’2, has the ability to shoot the ball and make plays off the dribble as well, on the defensive end he is solid as well and has the tools to get even better.
Carolina Wolves & Kinston High Guard Chance Minott: He’s played his way into some D2 and D1 interest due to how well he’s played, he is a quick and crafty guard that plays with an edge to him. His ability to break down a defender as well as some impressive passing, are what catches your attention about him early on.
910 Vengeance & Living Water Christian Guard Malachi Borders: He will be finishing out his high school career at Living Water after some impressive seasons at Lejeune HS, helping to lead his team in scoring. He can score the ball at a nice level be has also shown the ability to be able to run a team, which will allow him to be a guard that can play the PG or SG at the collegiate level.
