While it hasn’t happened yet, we expect a full run of commitments with the Shooting Guards, probably after this July. We sit now with just 1 off the board in Purdue commit Jaden Ivey. But guys like Anthony Leal, Trey Galloway, and Tony Perkins could be joining him sooner rather than later.
Those are all of our Top 4 SG’s in the class. All will play at the DI level with the Top 3 playing for high-majors. There is some potential other DI talents just behind them with guys like Victor Young, Charlie Yoder, and Sincere McMahon. Yoder and McMahon already have DI offers as does Braxton Barnhizer of Lafayette Jeff.
Where this group of talent really flexes it’s muscles is with the #8-18 range. Starting with Rowen Farrell, we have guys that are going to be in high demand this Summer and Fall. Brayton Bailey has been a guy for a while coaches have watched closely, DeMarcus Vaughn has played better as of late, Brayden Pearson is one of the more intriguing possibilities, and Avery Beaver just picked up an offer from Saint Francis (IN).
But, we do have some depth here. We have 48 guys ranked in our Top 200 as SGs. 11 of them are new this time around with Evan Turner and Brandon Stroble being some of the more interesting names for some local programs. They, along with the rest of the 48 should be some decent options especially at the top.
