As we talked about before, the 2020 class lacks depth and especially at the Center Positions. There are a ton of options this year, 24 to be exact with our updated Top 200. But, only two of those stand with DI offers at this point.
Kiyron Powell has overtaken the top spot with his emergence over the last year. Still, very much a work in progress but pretty good and getting better. Between him and Mabor Majak, those are the two who we know will be playing at the DI level come this time next year.
Beyond the top group, there is kind of a hodgepodge of options that need to be sorted out. This is the group that probably has the most upside but just waiting on development to be put into action. With guys like Nick Hittle, Chris Okeke, Keegan O’Neill, Gunnar Vannatta, and Matt Jones, any of these guys could break out and we are kind of waiting to see who that is.
Overall, with our 24 ranked centers in this class, we did add 5 new players this time around: Chris Okeke, Jackson Gowdy, Isaac Farah, Anthony Williams, and Grant Gohmann.
