NORTH AUGUSTA, SC — It was my first time getting a chance to attend the Nike Peach Jam and it was easily the best high school basketball I have ever witnessed. Twenty-four teams filled with high major talent, all of whom playing hard to be the last team standing. Over the course of the five days, a few Texas natives left an impression on me with their performances: 


On July 5, Langston Love announced that he would be leaving Cibolo Steele to take his talents out east to Montverde Academy (FL). A decision that I feel will be a terrific one for him in the long run. However, I would be lying if I told you I was not sad and his performances at Peach Jam is a perfect explanation of the reason why.

The rising junior or underclassmen guard was the most productive player on his team throughout the first three sessions and nothing changed for the final and most important one. Behind Love's 24 points per game, the Houston Hoops shocked the country and advanced to the final four after losing
