Westover HS 2020 Guard Isaiah Bridges: In his second season after transferring in from Chicago, he is on tap to have a big season for the Wolverines and is one that college programs should be keeping a close eye on. His shooting mechanics look smooth and you can tell he spends his fair share of time in the weight room, as he has a pretty solid frame. Getting after it on both ends of the floor and good leadership qualities are things that you have to like about him, he has a nice natural feel for the game and puts in the time to get better.
EE Smith HS 2020 Forward Jaylen Siermons: Expect a big season from Seirmons and for him to play his way into some college interest and offers before it’s all said and done. At about 6’5, he averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds last season but had some 20 and 10 type games on numerous occasions. Athletic and strong, he is a player that can be very productive when he’s locked in, not only on offense but defense as well, using his athleticism to block shots.
Fairmont HS 2020 Forward Josh Duran: He brings some size and shooting to the squad which should allow them to spread the defense some. About 6’4 with a good wingspan and a solid IQ , he’s a player that we expect to only get better as the year goes on.
Northwood Temple 2022 Guard Jaquantae Harris: He spent his first years at Hoke County and will look to prove himself now as one of the top guards in 2022 in the state of NC. The potential he has to be special is very clear, the lefty has the ability to score in bunches and has impressive athletic ability.
Jack Britt 2022 Forward Demetri Patterson: Still a player that is figuring things out but we like what he brings to the table, he got some minuets last season and showed some flashes of what he could possibly be. You can tell that he has been putting in some work with the coaching staff as he made a few plays in the post and his footwork looks like improving, he’s one to keep an eye on.
Westover 2021 Guard Darius Jewell: Continues to improve each time that we get the chance to see him play, one attribute that he doesn’t lack at all is confidence. When he gets the opportunity to score he’s aggressive and doesn’t second guess himself, which is actually something we like about the junior guard. He a smaller guard at about 5’7 but plays with toughness and has shown that he knows how to score over taller defenders.
