Argentina’s U16 national team was a very tough matchup for Team USA and where they began the game on a sluggish and sloppy start and at one point in the game were down 23-8.
As you know by now, Georgia prospects 2021 F Jabari Smith Jr. out of Sandy Creek High School and 2022 PG Dillon Hunter of Westlake High School are out in South America with Team USA representing the peach state. What a debut it was for Jabari Smith Jr., finishing with a game high 22 points and 9 rebounds. He proved his full versatility in their matchup against Argentina. Hitting a couple jump shots including three three-pointers, crashing the boards, finishing inside, and guarding all five positions fairly well.
For Hunter, his impact did not really come on the offensive side for this ball game but instead proved why he is known as an active defender on defensive snagging 3 steals for Team USA. Their next contest will be tomorrow early afternoon at 12:30pm ET. You can watch the U16 USA national team live from Brazil at the link below. All games will be streamed live.
