CHANGES IN THE TOP-10

Five new faces are highlighted in the updated top-10. Dimingus Stevens, Ishmael Leggett, David N’Guessan and Myles Stute respectively helped themselves this spring, and have moved up as a result. The last newcomer is two-sport standout Jahmal Banks, a high major football recruit who is very accomplished on the hardwood as well.

FIVE STOCK RISERS

Paul Smith

#15 | PAUL SMITH | 6’8 C | DEMATHA | PREVIOUS RANK: 34

Smith continues to expand his offensive arsenal. His defense has always been solid, but he continues to improve on that end as well.

#21 | MILTON MATTHEWS | 6’2 SG | ROCK CREEK CHRISTIAN | PREVIOUS RANK: 38

Matthews is arguably the best shooter in the region. Several coaches were able to witness this first hand at DMV Live this past weekend, and his recruitment is beginning to expand as a result.

#34 | WADE JACKSON | 6’2 G | ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI | PREVIOUS RANK: 81

Jackson helped himself more than most this spring. His signature performance came at Southern Jam Fest when he dropped 31 to knock off Team Loaded.

#35 | MATTHEW ROGERS | 6’7 C | ST. MARIA GORETTI | PREVIOUS RANK: 55

Rogers is a skilled post who can score inside and out. He’s still relatively under-the-radar to this point, but don’t be surprised to see that change soon.

#39 | JOSIAH HARDY | 6’6 F | GONZAGA | PREVIOUS RANK: 85

Hardy is a versatile defender who is making strides offensively. His consistent level of productivity this spring has been quite impressive.

DIVISION ONE SLEEPERS

Eric Sondberg

#25 | ERIC SONDBERG | 6’5 SF | SOUTH RIVER

Sondberg put up serious numbers during his junior year, and is finding his footing on the EYBL with Team Durant. He’s a knock down shooter and a sneaky good athlete with length who is steadily improving defensively.

#26 | GARFIELD TURNER | 6’7 C | COVENANT LIFE

Turner burst onto the scene this spring with District Basketball Club. He’s a really good post defender, inside finisher, and rebounder who plays with a very high motor.

#28 | CHURCHILL BOUNDS | 6’9 C | DECATUR

Bounds is a traditional back-to-basket post who can be the hub of an offense. He’s got a great frame, nice touch, and impressive athleticism for his size.

#30 | JAYSHAUN FREEMAN | 6’1 G | KENT COUNTY

Freeman can score with the best of them. It’s only a matter of time before his stock rises.

#38 | MIKE BROWN | 6’3 SG | TAKOMA ACADEMY

Mike Brown is an athletic wing with high upside. He’s a good two-way prospect who remains highly productive.
