Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was a tall task, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. Our recent update includes an increase in the number of players ranked from 130 to 150. Here we resume our breakdown series by pointing out five unranked prospects who are worth monitoring.
ELI DAVIS | 6’5 C | B-CC
Davis is reportedly in Israel for the summer, so we haven’t been able to check him out at Capitol Hoops Summer League, but he’s an important part of what the Barons want to do. An aggressive rebounder who can finish inside and convert free throws at a high rate, Davis will likely be once again heavily involved on both ends of the floor throughout his senior year.
MALIK HOLLAND | 6’3 SG | OXON HILL
Holland is a terrific standstill shooter who fills the lanes in transition and knows how to move without the ball. Another thing that stands out about his overall game is that he is a very good rebounder.
DAVID NWANKWO | 6’5 F | TAKOMA ACADEMY
Nwankwo is a versatile forward who can rebound and guard several positions. Offensively, he’s an efficient scorer inside of 15 feet who seeks contact.
LIAM OLAGBAGU | 6’2 SF | BLAIR
Olagbagu is a high energy wing who excels on the offensive and defensive glass. He has nice touch in the paint and is consistently productive with minimal touches.
JUSTIN ZAVALA | 6’2 SG | BOWIE
Zavala is a three-and-D wing with quick hands and toughness. He can also mix it up by attacking the basket, finishing in the lane, and converting efficiently from the foul line.
