Caleb Love 6’3″ CBC (’20): The high-major prospect displayed his playmaking skills and shot-making throughout the day. He spent much of the first game and a half as a facilitator as he consistently found open teammates for easy opportunities. As the day wore on, he started to warm up on the offensive end as he hit pull up 3-pointers, scored on tough drives and threw down some impressive transition dunks. He is scheduled to take an unofficial visit to Kansas on Sunday.
Ryan Kalkbrenner 7’0″ Trinity (’20): The shot blocking phenom did his normal dominant job of protecting the rim as he also stretched his shot blocking out to the perimeter. He scored easily in the post, but he put in some work on the perimeter on Friday as he handled the ball quite and bit and knocked down a number of 3-pointers off the catch.
Rashad Weekly-McDaniels 6’0″ Trinity (’20): The physical scoring point guard looks very good as he has dropped close to 20 pounds, which has helped his quickness and athleticism. He was in his scoring bag throughout the day, especially in the victory over CBC where he scored at least 30 points. If he wasn’t pulling up from 25 feet, he was hitting defenders with some prime time in and out moves to get to the basket. The young man can score.
Gary Clark 6’7″ Cardinal Ritter (’20): Clark continues to improve and stretch out his game with each week. He scored in the post and hit the offensive boards hard for easy put backs. We’ve seen his ability to make 15 to 17 footers, but now he was knocking down 3-pointers as well.
Breven McMullen 6’5″ Park Hills Central (’20): The St. Francois County standout displayed his scoring chops from all three levels during the day. HIs 3-point stroke was pure, but he showcased his all-around scoring chops from everywhere. He can create offense off the dribble to score on mid-range jumpers, floaters in the lane and finger rolls.
Adam Sommer 6’3″ Parkway South (’20): A tough guard who was excellent on Friday as he scored and facilitated with equal effectiveness. His passing was on point as he drop dimes in the halfcourt and also had some great lead passes from the backcourt. He displayed excellent ball toughness against physical pressure and dropped perimeter jumpers from everywhere.
Robert Martin 5’9″ CBC (’22): The little point guard was one of the most consistent scorers off the dribble during the day. He was tough to stop as he created the space and drained one 3-pointer after another. He also displayed some tremendous speed in the open court in the transition game. When he turned on the jets, he found another gear.
Jalen Hampton 6’5″ University City (’21): The talented combo forward was one of the most explosive players in the event as he threw down some thunderous and entertaining slam dunks in transition. His combination of athleticism and quickness make him difficult to stop around the basket.
