Last year, players like Shakeel Moore took the floor and turned plenty of heads. So who are some of the players that you should be watching out for this year ?
Eastern Guilford HS 2021 Guard Kadyn Dawkins: He’s one that we haven’t got to see a ton but on the occasions that we got the chance to see him, he was impressive. He’s a dual threat PG as he can score and facilitate at a pretty high level.
Lexington HS 2020 F Alex Holt: His stock has been on the rise as of late as he has proven himself as a legit D1 prospect. Scoring and rebounding are areas well he excels, once you combine that with his 6’8 height and willingness to get better, then you have a special prospect.
High Point Central Forward 2020 Kulel Mading: He’s another intriguing prospect that we got the chance to see recently at the Josh Level Classic. A legit 6’10 with a long wingspan and potential , he is slowly but surely putting the state on notice. Look for him to protect the paint well but also show some of his offensive attributes.
Piedmont Classical 2020 Guard Jalen Joiner: He’s has consistently played well over the past year and his stock is rising as he has picked up multiple offers. About 6’5 with the ability to play the PG, SG and SF spots, he is one you love to have on your team due to his versatility.
High Point Christian 2021 Guard KJ Garrett: He was in the building last season and played well so we will be looking for an even more impressive performance from him this weekend. These type of events suit him well due to the fact that he’s such an unselfish player. Don’t be surprised to see him put up double digit assist in a game or two.
Bishop Mcguinness 2021 Forward Noah Allred: A multi sport athlete that has a big body that can be a force in the paint for his squad. He sets good screens, can pick and pop or dive to the basket for buckets.
