There were 64 teams there so I wasn’t able to see anywhere near all the teams at the event so this is not mean to be a list of the only kids who played well. Just the players who stood out when I was in the gym. They are presented in order of their pools they started in.
2020 Dayvion McKnight, Collins – McKnight was the top point guard prospect in the event and solidified his high ranking with solid play over the course of 5 games.
2020 Marcellus Vail, Collins – Marcellus had a very efficient weekend shooting the ball. His ability to put up high scoring numbers in a short amount of time is maybe the best in the class.
2021 Jaden Rogers, Fern Creek – Rogers had a good weekend and showcased an improved ability to finish around the rim, especially when taking a lot of contact.
2021 Zek Montgomery, Fern Creek – Montgomery was a big stock riser this weekend after showing an improved jump shot. Zek should be on the radar for D1 coaches now.
2020 Jackson Sivills, McCracken County – One of the college prospects who keeps getting new offers, Sivills played well over the course of the weekend.
2020 Matt Cromer, South Laurel – He missed Friday with a back injury but bounced back to score 35, 38, 25 and 43 points on Saturday and Sunday.
2022 Turner Buttry, Bowling Green – The Sophomore had a good weekend and made a lot of shots. He probably needs to play with the ball in his hands more than he does.
2022 JiArius Webb, Owensboro Catholic – Long and athletic with a lot of upside, Webb should keep developing under Coach Tim Riley.
2020 Rashad Bishop, Ballard – Rashad was fresh off an ankle injury and was not his usual bouncy self when I saw him Friday but he was still effective.
2020 Dre Boyd, Warren Central – One of the hardest playing guys in the state, Boyd is a warrior who doesn’t have any back down in him. Look for him to get some D1 looks before graduation.
2020 Howard Fleming, Male – One of the biggest stock risers of the weekend, Howard has already gotten two D1 offers this week. When he’s healthy, he’s a top 5-8 player in the state.
2020 Noah Courtney, Male – Another Male Senior who got two NAIA offers coming out of the weekend, Noah’s motor and energy level are his biggest attributes.
2023 Kaleb Glenn, Male – Only a freshman, Kaleb is going to be an elite high major recruit as long as he keeps growing. He’s a silent killer on the court and plays hard.
2020 JJ Traynor, Bardstown – JJ keeps trending up as he develops his game. His ceiling is crazy high and he’s only going to improve over the next several years.
2022 Christian Spaulding, Eastern – Great positional size and athleticism and feel for the game for a Sophomore. Spaulding is one to keep an eye on moving forward.
2020 Terrin Hamilton, Scott County – Scott County had an up and down weekend and so did Terrin but if he’ll be more aggressive and play harder, he has D1 upside.
2022 Turrell Cleaves, Butler – Cleaves has grown and keeps getting better. He’s dunking everything with ease and playing harder. His ceiling is way up there as a kid who is still just 14 years old.
2023 Trey Skaggs, Madison Central – Another freshman who impressed, Skaggs showed his high skill level and IQ. His body is starting to fill out but hopefully he can grow a couple more inches.
2021 Ben Johnson, Lexington Catholic – As far as 2021 kids go, Johnson had the biggest weekend of all, impressing lots of coaches and likely to get some offers this week.
2022 Jack Gohmann, Lexington Catholic – Jack was really good all weekend. It looks like he’s going to be a more than capable second scorer to go next to Johnson for the next two seasons.
2020 Luke Morrison, South Oldham – Luke shot the lights out on Sunday and keeps establishing himself as a top shooter in Kentucky, regardless of class.
2020 Kenny White, Madisonville-North Hopkins – Kenny only played on Saturday but was good in stretches. He was sloppy in his ball handling but scored the ball well.
2020 Ksuan Casey, Madisonville-North Hopkins – Before he ran out of gas in their third game, Ksuan was borderline dominant. No one could handle him in the post and he rebounded everything.
