Titans/Rockets Invitational: Underclassmen to Watch
This weekend brings about the first NCAA live period for scholastic events. That basically means it’s the first time that college coaches can come and watch players with their high school in the summer time. There are many college coaches expected to be in Shelbyville where Collins and Shelby County host their annual Titans/Rockets Invitational. Here are some of the 2021 and younger players that will likely draw coaches to central Kentucky this weekend. These are presented in order of their pool for this weekend or their placement on the Saturday schedule.
2021 Jaz Johnson, Wolfe County – 6’1 PG is one of the leading 2021 scorers in Kentucky.
2021 Jaden Rogers, Fern Creek – 6’1 PG is the only 2021 with a D1 offer; from Miami (OH)
2021 Zek Montgomery, Fern Creek – 6’5 athlete has a high ceiling.
2021 Darrius Washington, Fern Creek – 6’7 forward has a chance to make the D1 level.
2021 Isaiah Mason, Bowling Green – 6’4 combo guard has a high upside.
2021 Jacobi Huddleston, Bowling Green – 6’7 forward has a lot of potential and still growing.
2021 Sam Conley, Spencer County – 6’3 wing is a good athlete who can really score it.
2021 DaShawn Jackson, Frederick Douglass – 6’3 Combo guard scores the ball at all 3 levels.
2022 Kennedy Hayden, Ballard – 6’2 Combo has good size and length on the perimeter.
2022 Jaxon Smith, Lincoln County – 6’1 PG is one of the better 2022 guards in Kentucky.
2023 Dallas Roberts, North Oldham – 6’0 PG has a chance to be one of best Freshmen in Kentucky.
2021 Dez Lindsay, Male – 6’5 wing is a good athlete and plays with a motor.
2023 Kaleb Glenn, Male – 6’5 forward has a really high ceiling, especially if he grows.
2022 James Jewell, Eastern – 6’6 forward is long and athletic, Jewell is our top ranked 2022.
2022 Turrell Cleaves, Jr., Butler – 6’3 Combo may have the highest ceiling of any 2022 prospect.
2023 Trey Skaggs, Madison Central – 6’4 wing is young but skilled forward prospect.
2023 Jaylen Davis, Madison Central – 6’2 freshman guard already has an offer from EKU.
2021 Ben Johnson, Lexington Catholic – 6’3 guard is one of the best scorers in Kentucky.
2022 Robby Todd, Dunbar – 6’6 forward plays with a great motor.
2021 TJ Toney, Desales – 6’0 PG is athletic and can score the ball.
2022 Ben Michel, South Oldham – 6’7 Sophomore continues to grow and improve.
2022 Jerone Morton, George Rogers Clark – 6’3 combo is one of the top players in the 2022 class.
2021 Jared Wellman, George Rogers Clark – 6’4 wing can shoot it and get to the rim.
2023 Samuel Parrish, Tates Creek – It’s early but 5’9 PG looks like one of the best freshmen in KY.
2021 Scotty Draud, Beechwood – Our top ranked 2021 was one of the top scorers in KY. 6’5 and growing.
2023 Jacob Meyer, Scott – Crazy high upside for the 5’11 freshman.
2021 Trey James, Martin County – 6’10 Center is the best post player in the Junior Class.
