1. Obaseki Showing Promise as a Lead Guard
If you were to ask me a couple of months ago what position I thought Manny Obaseki was, I would’ve told you that he was a shooting guard or a wing. Fast forward to now I’m beginning to believe that he might be able to be a full time point guard at the next level. Obaseki is comfortable handling the ball and has a good understanding of pace at the lead guard spot. He is also an unselfish player that looks to find his teammates. The four-star prospect has become one of the fastest rising players in the country and if he continues to improve on the court he could potentially earn himself another star.
2. Kylon Owens Is Under the Radar
There is a lot of in-state talent in the big man position for the class of 2020. Kylon Owens from South Oak Cliff High School is one of those talented bigs in that class. Owens has good hands and is capable of hitting right or left jump hook shots. He has yet to pick up any offers but I predict for his recruitment to pick up during the July Live Period.
3. The Next Big Thing
The Dallas Mustangs has had some big-time players come through their grassroots program over the years and Cade Hornecker from Amarillo, Texas looks to be their next up in coming star. The class of 2022 seven-foot center has a nice touch around the rim and can stretch the floor and hit jump shots when left open. He also alters shots with his length and moves well for a player his size. Don’t be surprised to see Hornecker’s name on the national scene in the near future.
