Shooters shoot- There are state prospects that can really burn up the nets. Tommy Murr (2020), Jaden Coleman (2020), Dana Harding (2020), Riley Leonard (2021), and Brody Peebles (2021) standout.
Two words: Rongie Gordon- This kid has developed his game and looks like a physical specimen. Gordon has the skill sets to be a very productive hybrid forward.
Sparkman is loaded on the perimeter- The Spartans have a 3 headed monster of Tyrese Elliot (2022), Calen Lightford (2022), and Trevon Ragland (2021). Jacobi Goodwin (2020) is also a capable guard.
Bob Jones’ Dynamic Duo- Jaden Coleman (2020) and Jalen Myers (2020) are two of the top prospects in the 2020 class, and they compliment each other very nicely.
2022 Prospects that are separating themselves- Tyrese Elliot, Will Shaver, and Barry Dunning
Mark Sears and Trey Bonham- These two floor generals are the best in the state. Both players put up big time numbers at team camps and play dates.
Antonio Kite is special- This kid is electric. What makes him so special is that he doesn’t back down from anyone. Kite has gone head to head with some very talented guards in the 2021 and 2020 class.
2020 Ceiling- Talent wise, this class has come a long way. There maybe 1 or 2 players that are legit high major prospects, but there is a lot of talent for the MM and D2-LM level schools.
Pinson Valley- The Indians look like one of the best teams in the Birmingham area yet again. Kam Woods (2020), GaQuincy McKinstry (2021), and the edition of Camron Scott (2020) will give Pinson a lot of perimeter talent.
AHSAA Elite 100- The inaugural event was a big success. It was well organized and well ran. Going forward, maybe the format of the Elite 100 changes, but prospects were given the opportunities to compete in front of 60+ coaches.
