Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class
Dawon Zenger, 5’11, G, 2021, Rock Creek
A smooth all around player with nice handles and a good outside shot. Zenger has the ability to create space for himself and also those around him. He can feed the ball inside and can get inside himself and get to the free-throw line. He’s crafty off the bounce and a playmaker on both ends.
Josh Jordan, 5’11, G, 2021, Salina South
An underrated guard who has a strong feel for the shooting guard position. He make strong passes and is smart with the ball and doesn’t turn it over. He can shoot well from distance and can get physical and drive inside and score. He also rebounds and looks to force turnovers and score in transition.
Todric McGee, 5’11, G, 2021, Northwest
A guard looking to make a name for himself who is playing hard and playing good team basketball. He is getting others involved around him and makes the extra pass when he needs to. He’s a good shooter and can connect when he has an opening in his feeling confident with the ball in his hands.
Anthony Speakman, 5’8, G, 2021, Dodge City
A smart guard who is great at catching and shooting. He has good form and a nice feel for either guard position. he can handle the ball some and can put his head down and get to the basket. He can also connect from the free-throw line and show some strength on the defensive end.
Braydon Verbeck, 6’0, G, 2021, Northwest
A good outside shooter who can shake off defenders and then pull it back for an open look. He is good at creating space and is also good at adjusting his body and getting off shots at an angle. He also looks to rebound some inside and does so on both ends of the floor. He pushes the ball up the floor and is patient and a smart passer.
