As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions.
Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class
Earnest Wash, 5’11, PG, 2021, Derby
And all-around guard who is greater the point position, Wash brings energy and leadership to the floor. He has a great basketball frame and combined strength and quickness. He has a mature game and is a good shooter and is graded getting his teammates involved. Also a strong defensive player.
Jake Wolff, 6’1, G, 2021, Blue Valley
a multiple-sport athlete who has good speed quickness and versatility. He’s a two-way player who can score well and pass at a high level. He can play physical basketball and can handle himself against taller guards. A guy who comes up with big plays on both ends. An all-around competitive player and glue guy who keeps the team going.
Floyd Watkins, 5’10, G, 2021, Wichita Heights
Watkins has a great work ethic and is a smart player on the floor. He plays well on the defensive end and has a good eye for offensive schemes. He’s a good rebounder as well and has good length and a high release point to his shot. A solid point guard with great handles who can shake off defenders and get to the hole and create space for himself and others.
Garrett Alejos, 6’3, G, 2021, Blue Valley North
Alejos can operate as a scoring guard and handle himself is a wing player. He has good size for his position and great athleticism. He is terrific and transition and can absorb contact and still finish plays with either hand near the basket. He moves well off the ball and is a good catch-and-shoot player.
Harrison Braudis, 5’10, G, 2021, Bishop Miege
a good player who can handle the ball and score. He has good playmaking skills with the ball in his hand and is also good playing off the ball. he runs the floor well and has a good eye for spacing and when he should fee
