Stock Risers: Georgia 2020 Forward/Centers
With the new wave of position-less basketball becoming a trend in today’s game, the role of the center has changed dramatically. For we are now in a ‘stretch era’ of knock down shooters who play the center position and are more versatile in scoring outside of the paint. There a good few players who have been rising their stock in the state. Here are some key forwards and centers that’s been raising noise around the state.
Jordan Meka – Power Forward – 6’9 200 lbs – Mount. Bethel (Marietta, GA)

Standing tall at 6’9, Meka is a major player who has the ability to play either position with his size and technique. He is known around Georgia as a bully in the paint who can explode and play above the rim. Meka can also defend the rim as he led his Mount Bethel team in blocks averaging an eye-popping 5.2 swats per game. By the end of the Summer, Meka will be mention with some of the best centers in the nation. He is a member of the Georgia Stars AAU team.
Christian Fussell – Center – 6’10 200 lbs – Greenforest Christian Academy (Decatur, GA)
Christian Fussell 2020 Power ForwardThe Greenforest forward/center stock has been on the rise and is steadily emerging on the scene as a bonafied big around the state. Fussell has been receiving a few share of looks from mid-major schools for his athletic ability, length, foot work and outside jump shot. The Team Forest member currently has 7 offers on the table from schools such as Appalachian State and Indiana State. While still figuring out the mechanics of his game, Fussell’s stock will continue to steadily rise just off pure ability to score in various ways.
Colin Granger – Power Forward – 6’8 230 lbs – Lambert (Suwanee, GA)

Colin Granger is forward in the state who has great upside and is easily emerging on the scene for his ability to run the floor and finish in transition unlike other forward/centers. Granger is not afraid to bang in the post with defenders as he use his technique, size and footwork to score a bucket. Granger can also work as a spot-up shooter or will shoot over a defender when his feet are set for a jumper. Granger’s game is unique and is still being polished for he has a very high ceiling and has the work ethic to get where he needs to be in the rankings. UGA and Clemson have shown interest in the Lambert High School forward.
Ebenezer Dowuona – 6’10 220 lbs – The Heritage School (Newnan, GA)
Ebenezer Dowuona 2020 Center. The Heritage School (Newnan, GA)With offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Kansas State and Minnesota, Ebenezer Dowuona is what many consider as a legit ‘big man’ around the state. Dowuona paved his way the hoop circuit back in 7th grade standing at 6’9 and dominating with ease. Since then, Duwuona stock has constantly risen as he will be the front runner for The Heritage School. Rebounding and post-scoring are two of Dowuona’s strengths on the court. His mid-range game is also what has been catching many scouts eye for he can drain 12-foot jumpers all day. Expect Dowouna’s name to be buzzing around the state for he has already been making noise as a member of the 2020 Game Elite Gold AAU team.
