As summer ball is now in full swing, Prep Hoops Kansas takes a look at some of the state’s top players on the rise in a variety of positions.
Below are some of the state’s players to keep your eyes on in the 2020 class.
5-Easton Hunter, 6’3, G, 2020, Andale NLHA 17
A talented player who can run up and down the floor and score around the floor. He fits nicely in a team system and he’s good at creating things for himself if he needs to. He has good athleticism and is a skilled player with the ball in his hands. he looks to pass and can rebound well for his size.
Willie Dotson, 5’10, PG, 2020, Lawrence
Datsun brings a great deal of energy and will to the floor every time he plays. He has good handles and can lead a team by example and vocally. He can score for himself and is also good at distributing the ball and keeping his teammates invested in the game.
Tevyn McKelvey, 6’0, PG, 2020, Gardner-Edgerton
A smart Lefty who can handle it well and hold his own on the defensive end. he is a tough player who is competitive and shows the ability to switch out from point and operate as a scoring guard. he runs hard and can finish through contact and get to the free-throw line and connect. A guy who does whatever he needs to for his team.
Samuel Fisher, 5’10, PG, 2020, Skyline
A savvy point guard who has a high basketball IQ and protects the ball at a high level. He is a great guy to have run your system and can kick off fast breaks through his defensive effort and on ball presence. He’s also a fine shooter and can light things up from distance. Fisher is a great competitor.
Jabari Brickhouse, 6’0, G, 2020, Blue Valley West
A poised player who can score from distance and fight his way inside to get his shot off. he has a nice bounce to his game and gets in the paint and shows the ability to handle tough ball pressure. He can score in transition as well and shows a lot of grit on the defensive end.
