Harold Johnson – Cardinal Newman (pictured on the front)
Johnson arrived at Cardinal Newman this off season after attending Denmark-Olar HS. Johnson a left-handed rangy guard is very versatile on the floor. Johnson sees the floor very well from the point guard position and can knockdown the mid-range jumper. Johnson has played on the varsity since his 8th grade while at Denmark-Olar HS, Johnson plays with Upward Stars Columbia on the Grassroots Circuit.
Jordan JonesJordan Jones – Trinity-Byrnes (Darlington)
Jones 6’0 point guard is back for his senior season with the Titans and new Head Coach Mike Teasley. Jones a left-handed guard plays the game with a lot of confidence. Jones likes to push the tempo when given the chance and has the ability to knockdown shots on the perimeter. Jones a quarterback on the football team really likes the ball in his hands during crunch time.
Nick FordNick Ford – Trinity-Byrnes (Darlington)
Ford 6’4 really can score the ball from over all the floor. Ford is a scorer and can pile up points quickly. Ford still needs to work harder on he defensive at times. Ford feels comfortable from the mid-range or with a 2-3 dribble max. Ford and Jones both started their careers off at South Florence HS. Ford runs with a local team Carolina Dream Team on the Grassroots Circuit.
Traveon DavisTraveon Davis – Clarendon Hall (Summerton)
Davis 6’4 is really starting to figures things out at times on the floor. Davis has DEEP RANGE on his shot and feels most comfortable playing at the shooting guard position. Davis has uncanny vision at times and seems to be one-step ahead of teammates. Davis averaged 20 ppg last season for a (29-0) SCISA Class 1A State Championship team. Davis started off his career at Lake Marion HS.
James MingoJames Mingo – Andrew Jackson Academy (Ehrhardt)
Mingo arrived over here with the Confederates back in the spring after attending Barnwell HS. Mingo plays on the Grassroots Circuit with the Carolina Shockers. Mingo 6’4 has great length and was running the point guard spot today for the Confederates. Mingo showed great body control and athleticism going to the basket. Mingo will look to be the center piece of the Andrew Jackson Academy squad this season.
Emmanuel HughesEmmanuel Hughes – Ben Lippen (Columbia)
Hughes is a table setter for the Ben Lippen offense. Hughes got the ball into the paint and connected on a few pull-up jumpers in transition. Hughes will look to lead the Falcons team all season long.
