Recruiting Report: Zion Harmon (2021)
Zion Harmon was one of the best point guards I saw last week at Top-100 Camp, where he was deservedly named to the All-Camp Team. Harmon, who has since received offers from LSU and Eastern Kentucky, has been an integral factor in helping Boo Williams qualify for Peach Jam. He has his sights set on winning it all this summer. Harmon discussed his camp experience and mindset for the summer during a recent interview with Prep Hoops.
PH: What was your mindset heading into Top 100 Camp?
ZH: “My mindset is really to facilitate, get my team involved, and look for mine after that.”
PH: What are you trying to bring every time you step on the court?
ZH: “Just a winning mentality, energy, and that extra push if my team needs it.”
PH: What’s underrated about your game?
ZH: “I think everything right now.”
PH: Talk about the challenges you’ve faced leading a talented team like Boo Williams. So much talent, how do you make sure to get everyone involved?
ZH: “The main challenges I would say are like you said, making sure everyone gets their shots. And then still getting mine. That’s the main thing I’m learning. Once I get that down, I feel like I can play at the pro level.”
PH: What’s your mindset for Peach Jam?
ZH: “Just to win it. I don’t want to lose in the final four again. I want to get to the championship and win.”
