Recruiting Report: Trevell Adams (2020)
Trevell Adams Trevell Adams 5'10" | PG Columbus South | 2020 State OH , you probably know the name if you pay attention to Central Ohio HS basketball. The crazy thing is, he came off the bench for Columbus South last year.
The Bulldogs were guard heavy, with multiple players that could beat you. Adams led the second unit, and was often the best player on the court.
Sixth man was a role that Adams embraced. The now senior told me he felt the team had “believed” in him, also, “looked forward” to him carrying the bench. And that’s exactly what the quick guard had done.
At five-foot-ten, Adams plays well on or off ball. Some versatility to his game, despite the height
Often, the best overall player in the game, Trevell would fill up the stat sheet. Competing on both ends, was always a factor. Columbus South was the runner-up in division two, and Trevell’s play was a big reason why.
Multiple double-digit scoring games, also crashing the boards, even though he’s under six-foot. I was able to watch the Bulldog at Bowling Green and Value City Arena. It was fair to say, he played at a high level.
Holding one division two offer, that number should definitely increase. The height is a non-factor, as Trevell has a high motor and competes with the best of them.
On offense, Trevell noted to me that he really believes in his first step, to create space for the shot or drive. One factor that Adams’ wants to get better at is shooting, as he is mainly a slasher.
Adding a consistent shot would elevate Adams game tremendously, in which South will need. With Tre Watkins graduating, Trevell will likely man the backcourt with Taquan Simington.
A high academic student at Columbus South, the grades are certainly there. Adams has played well with Hidden Gems Black this spring session, also.
Adams will certainly be a high D2 priority by many, this winter and next spring.
