Among those teams, there were prospects that are considered as top 100 players in the country. One of those players was Sanford 2021 forward Nnanna Njoku, who had undoubtedly the most productive weekend. The 6-foot-8 forward showcased tremendous versatility on both ends and was a nightmare for defenders to match up considering the strength he plays with on the inside paired with his ability to knock down the three.
PH: How has this spring with Team Final been going for you?
NN: It’s been going great so far. Our team is doing really well, I’m doing really well and picking up offers and we’re going to Peach Jam so that’s always the goal.
PH: What are some things you’ve been working on this spring to expand your game?
NN: Well I want to get in better shape so I can go the whole game without needing to come out. Definitely my shot and being able to create for myself. The big man spot in the game is going through a bit of a change right now and being able to shoot that top of they key three and being able to step out to 15+ feet is what I’ve been focusing more on.
PH: Let’s talk about the schools who are recruiting you. Where do you have offers from?
NN: I have Providence, Virginia Tech, Temple, Witchita State, Delaware and LaSalle. I’ve visited LaSalle and am going on a Temple visit later this week. *(Already happened)
PH: What are some goals for yourself during the summer as a whole?
NN: I’m trying to make it up the rankings right now on ESPN. They have me at like 58, but my goal is to get into the top 20 for sure by the end of the summer.
PH: Who are some guys at the college or NBA level that you try to copy your game after?
NN: Definitely Giannis. The way that he’s taking off and being as big as I am and to see the things he can do is really impressive. For college, I watched Zion a lot. He has the same build as me. We’re both big and athletic. I want to be able to bully people the way he does. It’s perfect to me.
