2020 Quaker Slam Standouts:
2020 6’6 F Shahid Abdul-Mumin (Cleveland HS) – The long and wiry athlete is a game changer due to his raw athleticism and natural ability. He has a pretty cool demeanor, but he plays with energy. He blocked a lot of shots and makes up for teammates’ mistakes due to his ability to cover ground so quickly. He will need to continue to develop his offensive skill set, but he has some tools to work with.
2020 6’2 SG Kai Johnson (Olympia HS) – Skilled off guard that showed a knack for scoring throughout the event. Kai has a slender frame and he will need to continue to work on his strength, but his offensive skills and finishing ability is still very good. Some small colleges at the event mentioned they liked his game and he could be a solid D3 prospect.
2020 5’9 PG Jaden Call (Stadium HS) – Fiery 5’9 guard that really competes at a high level. Jaden has an extra gear that most other players on the floor do not have. He drew fouls consistently and displayed good body control to get his shot off while absorbing contact. Jaden has some interest from Jucos and D3 schools at this point. He mentioned he is willing to play anywhere, he just loves to play. *Feature image
2020 6’10 C Mitchell Saxen (Ingraham HS) – The tallest player in the event, as expected, but Mitchell likes to float around the perimeter some on offense too. He is most impactful with his shot blocking in the paint. He currently holds offers from mid D1 to high, but he remains uncommitted.
2020 6’8 PF Kendall Munson (Rainier Beach HS) – Kendall saved his best performance for the championship game against Eastside Catholic. He was a tough handle for a slim EC bench, posting up and regularly scoring inside. Kendall is a very good defensive rebounder and is consistent in this aspect of the game. He currently holds multiple Division 1 offers, including UW.
2020 6’5 PF Chika Nduka (Eastside Catholic HS) – Strong inside player that can expose mismatches. He is tough to move off his spot, although only 6’5 at the post position. He is solid recruit for the right level where he can matchup with other forwards in the 6’5-6’6 range. One of the best competitors in the event!
