At 6’3, Goller brings good size and a strong frame to the floor and the ability to lead a team at the point, play tough, physical defense, and knock down outside shots. He likes to take advantage of his size and can post-up smaller point guards and score easy points in the paint.
He is running this offseason with Grandstand Elite, a grassroots team coached by Chris Piper.
“He’s a great coach and he gives us a lot of freedom within our offense to play our game,” Gollier said. “This has prepared me for high school season by playing against good competition and learning how to make the right decisions in a motion offense.
“I’ve focused a lot on my midrange game so far this offseason. Being a taller point guard, I am able to get my shot off over shorter defenders if I take the opportunity to do so.”
Gollier says he is excited to build on an up-and-down season at Ottawa this upcoming season.
“We didn’t succeed in the post season how we wanted to but we gained a lot of chemistry for this upcoming season since we have a majority of our players returning,” he says.
Gollier says his dad has had the biggest impact on his basketball career to date.
“He’s always there to support me at games and practice out in the driveway,” Gollier says.
A fan of Lebron James, Gollier says he appreciates his all-around game.
“I’ve always been a big LeBron fan because of how productive he is in all areas of the game,” Gollier says. “The thing that I like the most about his game and what I try to mimic is how me controls the offense and makes plays happen for his teammates.”
Although he does not currently hold any offers, Gollier says he has drawn interest from several Division III teams.
