Alexander stands at 6’4 and is currently the 23rd ranked prospect in our Maryland/DC rankings. He has a real smooth game where he can get shots when he wants to on offense, has the ability to finish at the rim and on defense he has good potential with his long athletic body.
This summer Alexander has been in the gym 24/7 playing with DC Thunder and then for his high school team Bulls during Capitol Hoops Summer League.
“The summer has been great, coming off AAU, starting off strong with my team with a record of 6-2, then with Bullis, having a lot of young guys but it has been good preparation with summer league and we have been good so far during summer league as we are still undefeated.”
He spoke about his role with Bullis and DC Thunder.
For Bullis, he said, “Just being a leader, I am one of the two seniors on the team. I am the one that is always talking a lot, I need to be aggressive on offense and always rebound on defense because we are not that big.”
And on the AAU side of things with DC Thunder, he said, “I am a three guard, pretty much the same thing with Bullis, not as much rebounding but being a leader on the court.”
Right now there are four schools that are currently standing out in his recruitment. He does not have an offers yet but is hoping to land one soon. He briefly talks about the four schools and intends to visit each one before coming to a ultimate decision on where he will go to college.
Mount St. Mary’s: “I have a pretty strong relationship with Coach Matt up there, who is one of the assistant coaches and the head coach coached my brother for AAU with Team Takeover so I have a pretty strong relationship with them. They are just telling me they know I can shoot, they know I can play offense but just getting stronger on the defensive end and show how beneficial I can be on defense as well.”
Loyola (MD): “I went up there on a visit one time and they have been contacting me pretty often.”
UMBC: “I went on a visit, they have been texting me and they have been to my AAU games.”
Columbia: “You obviously have to have the grades to go there and I have been getting my grades up and they want me to come on a visit so I look forward to scheduling that sometime soon.”
