Continue ReadingLogan Landers has become one of the more promising prospects in Wisconsin’s 2021 class. Towering above most of his competition at 6’8″, Landers is strong and nimble on the court. His biggest asset is his rebounding, but he doesn’t have many liabilities, either. The PF is a good shooter, passer, and finisher. During his sophomore season, Landers recorded 14.2 points and 12.5 rebounds per game.
Landers- who is also a star pitcher on the baseball diamond- recently swapped AAU jerseys. Previously playing for Mac Irvin Fire, Landers will now play for Phenom University. He stated travel difficulties as the main reason why he switched programs. He said, “Phenom is a great program and they are right around my area.” The addition of Landers will bolster what was already a very talented roster.
As a spectacular talent, Landers has few things to improve in his game. “I don’t exactly try to improve one thing more that I try to balance everything and make every aspect of my game better”, responded Landers when asked about what he wants to get better at. As for where he excels, he said his biggest strength on the court is being aggressive.
Landers is a prospect that will attract plenty of college interest. Because his baseball season was taking place this spring, Landers has been unable to compete on the AAU circuit as much as he would have liked. “Right now due to high school baseball, I wasn’t able to get to a lot of tournaments with a lot of colleges there… Next year will be a big year.”
Coming up short last year in the state tournament left a bitter taste in Landers’ mouth. “Goals for high school season is flat out to win the state championship. We are coming back with basically everybody except one senior who started. We have everything it takes to win the state championship and that is all I’m focused on going into this upcoming basketball season.”
Landers is on the brink of a breakout season. Expect him to blow up with a great junior campaign.
