PF Evan Mobley (Rancho Christian, CA – 2020)
Mobley is the unquestioned top prospect in the 2020 class. He is almost a point-center that passes with the best of them. Elite vision and handles it so well for a big man. Mobility around the hoop is incredible with his footwork and agility. Finishes well in the pick and roll. Active on the glass for put backs. Capable stretching the floor out to three with ease. Complete post and early favorite to be the top pick in the 2021 NBA Draft after his one year of college.
SF Terrence Clarke (Brewster Academy, NH – 2021)
Clarke showed off why he is one of the most coveted 2021 prospects in the country. Freak show athlete that is explosive in transition. Athletic wing that plays above the rim. Threw down a huge windmill in the open floor. Versatile player that can play multiple positions at the next level. Wiry frame with a dynamic game!
PF Bradley Ezewiro (Bishop Montgomery, CA – 2020)
This 6’8” power player was a tough and rugged four man who played with power around the hoop. Finishes well with strength and threw down some impressive jams.
SG Moses Moody (Montverde, FL- 2020)
Huge fan of this Montverde (FL) shooting guard. Played both on and off the ball for his team working well with Mobley in the pick and roll. As a scorer he is a big time perimeter shooter that can also get to the rim where he finished a sweet reverse layup among his array of scores.
SF Terren Frank (Sierra Canyon, CA – 2020)
This thick bodied forward is such a productive kid. The combo forward can shoot it with range and consistency beyond the three point arc. Decent attacking off the bounce. His toughness and physicality really standout.
G Dominick Harris (Rancho Christian, CA – 2020)
The Gonzaga commit played at a high level the first night of the Pangos camp. He is a scoring combo guard with range on shot. Harris is a straight bucket getter that scored in a variety of ways from all over the floor.
G Daishen Nix (Trinity International School, NV – 2020)
This was my first look at Nix and he made a statement on opening night. High volume scorer that has a burst with the ball to the hoop. Shooting guard who is always in attack mode!
F Paolo Banchero (O’Dea, WA – 2021)
This west coast native from Washington felt right at home on opening night. Powerful combo forward who is so strong attacking the cup. He had quite a few straight line drives where he finished with his right hand, left hand, reverse layup, and a couple up and unders. Knocked down a pretty turnaround fade away. Rebounds well for his position.
SG Aminu Mohammed (Glenwood Laboratory, MO – 2021)
This Missouri high school product made a statement that he is among the best of the best in 2021. Long and rangy shooting guard that opened the last game of the evening with a couple monster dunks and a three. That was just the tip of the iceberg for what he would go on to do with tons of dunks and threes all game long. Explosive wing scorer that showed he was one of the biggest stars from Friday night!
SF Scottie Barnes (University, FL – 2020)
Barnes is among the top handful of prospects nationally in the 2020 class. What makes him so special is how he leaves an impact on the game across the board. Barnes is much more than just a scorer. The aspect he probably does best is distributing the basketball with his elite vision and passing. That was shown all night in both the half court on dishes to cutters and in transition leading to layups/slams. High level rebounder with a quick second jump which allows him to get his own misses. Such an elite playmaker for himself or others when the ball is in his hands.
F Jonathan Kuminga (Our Savior New American, NY – 2021)
Kuminga is making a case for the top spot in the 2021 class with the way he has played this spring in the Nike EYBL. He can play the one through four positions. Did a little bit of everything in this game. Was most effective slashing to the rim on straight line drives like he did starting the second half. His best move of the night was probably a baseline take where he posterized an opponent. A lot of intriguing physical tools projecting as a high level NBA prospect with his ability to handle it and be a playmaker at his size.
SG Josh Christopher (Mayfair, CA – 2020)
Christopher is among the top two guards in the class of 2020 nationally with his natural ability to score the basketball. At times he forced some shots, but hey who doesn’t in a camp setting? Flashed what makes him so special as a wing scorer with a smooth looking three. When he is balanced and gets elevation it is a smooth shot. Off the dribble he won with a nice straight line take along with a cross over which he finished with a step through.
SF Kyree Walker (Hillcrest, AZ – 2020)
This powerful west coast wing has been a known name for a while and he produced in spurts on Friday night with his jumper. At times he can be a bit wild, but the well-built small forward drilled several deep threes pulling up and on step back.
PG Isa Silva (Jesuit, CA – 2021)
In my first evaluation of this 6’3” point guard he was excellent! High level passer that in a camp setting will excel because all he wanted to do was feed his plethora of weapons! Did just that showing an excellent feel for the game with size at the point guard spot. Dissects the defense and sees the floor. Also scored with a clean jumper.
