A Point Guard with the ability to do it all, Jordan Thompson. Role guys that fill in the gap perfectly whether it is shooting, defense or rebounding. Southmoore has the complete package including a very experienced coaching staff that has been in big state tournament moments. At OU Team Camp Southmoore showed very positively winning the toughest bracket with the big names showing out.
Sam Godwin 2020 Southmoore Post
Godwin is a D1 player without a doubt in my mind. A high school format fits Godwin’s game better, which bodes well for him in college. Rebounding the basketball is where Godwin makes his name heard the loudest. Of course, tomahawk thunderous jams from Godwin ring pretty loud too. The versatility of Godwin on defense being able to bang inside but also step out and defend wings on the perimeter when switches come is impressive. If Godwin gets the ball inside within 10-12 feet I’m putting my money on something positive happening. Godwin is every bit of 6’8 and has put on a ton of muscle compared to last year around this time. Godwin will open a ton of eyes if he continues on the tear he is on.
Jordan Thompson 2020 Southmoore Point Guard
Thompson has some underdog mentality to his game. You can tell he always plays with a chip on his shoulder. Thompson can shoot the ball lights out from distance with deep range. Over the past year, he has improved a lot passing the ball, especially in pick and roll scenarios. Thompson has also added to his ball handling arsenal with many different moves to get him open looks going to the basket. The confidence of Thompson on the court carries Southmoore as a team rubbing off on his teammates.
Darrin Ryan 2020 Southmoore Wing
Ryan is the catch and shoot specialist for the Southmoore Sabercats. If you leave him open from behind the arc good luck on him missing. Ryan is going to be a small college basketball player due to his expert shooting talents.
