From a scouting perspective, here are the players from Northwest Ohio who won the day:
Top 5-on-5 Performance
Mitch Raifsnider (2021) | 6-8 PF | Margaretta / Ohio Buckets
Raifsnider is a pick-and-pop big with athleticism and a strong body. Active on the boards and a skilled finisher inside. He also made plays on the defensive end away from the basket or in the paint — blocked shots all over the court and tipped some passes. Not surprised that Ashland offered early on this kid.
5-on-5 Standouts
Kalen Etzler (2021) | 6-8 PF | Convoy Crestview / All Ohio Red
Etzler combines athleticism around the rim with a smooth outside scoring package. Communicated with teammates. Defends multiple positions and his length is a huge asset when he matches up on the perimeter.
Josiah Fulcher (2020) | 6-2 SG | Lima Senior / C2K Elite
Throughout the day, Fulcher nailed outside jumpers off the dribble or from a stand-still. His length and athleticism allow him to defend and finish in traffic at a Division I level. Rips through for straight-line-drives. Plus rebounder who likes to push off the defensive glass.
Hayden Stone (2020) | 6-8 C | Carey / Nova
Stone’s activity and size was an asset for his group. Went after rebounds and deflected a few passes with his length. Once again showed passing ability with his back to the basket. Displayed footwork inside to go with his strong body — prototypical Midwest post traits.
