Lee Langstaff (2020) – Carolina Day (Asheville) – Team Swish (pictured on front)
Langstaff was the best player in the NTBA Pre Nationals all weekend long. Langstaff really keeps the ball on a string while attacking the cup. Langstaff has a really nice mid-range game pull-up. Langstaff hails from the tiny town of Whittier, NC roughly 59 miles from Carolina Day. Langstaff a point guard really plays the game at a even keel at all times. Langstaff really has the ability to change speeds well and makes his teammates happy with his unselfish play on the floor.
Langstaff won the NCISAA Division 2 Track and Field Championships this season. Langstaff won the High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump this spring. Langstaff started off his career at Swain County HS in Bryson City, NC.
Chris Hemphill (2020) – Asheville School – Team Swish
Hemphill 6’5 is a dual sport athlete along with playing on the hardwood he plays Quarterback on the gridiron. Hemphill has attended East Henderson HS, West Henderson HS and Brevard HS in the past. Hemphill has a great frame and long wingspan. Hemphill moves very well without the ball and is very versatile on the floor. Hemphill can play-inside out on the court.
Hemphill is a strong and physical wing that doesn’t mind to mix it up at times.
Mitch Wike (2020) – Smoky Mountain HS (Sylva) – Team Swish
Wike 6’1 shooting guard hails from the Western North Carolina town of Cullowhee. Wike is a spot up shooter who really has a sweet stroke. Wike popped off screens at times but really preferred to set up shop in the corners. Wike plays cornerback and wide receiver on the football field.
Payton LewisPayton Lewis (2021) – Moravian Prep (Hickory) – Manzer 17
Lewis hails from Myrtle Beach, SC but just recently decided to transfer to Moravian Prep for next year. Lewis a point guard just played this season at Socastee HS. Lewis has decided to reclassify into the 2021 class when he goes to Moravian Prep this fall. Lewis really has showed some great progress this spring with his play. Lewis just needs to play with full effort at all times on both ends of the floor to be successful.
