There is a ton of talent that will be in the building and with this being the first time that this event will take place, it will be interesting to see how things play out. Let’s take a closer look at some of the teams and players that will be in the building for this event.
Greensboro Day is the host school and as usual they have plenty of talented players on their roster such as 2020 Guard Carson McCorkle that’s headed to UVA and 2021 Guard Cam Hayes who has picked up some big time interest from top programs nationally.
Durham Academy 2022 Forward MJ Rice will be in the building, he’s a top player in his class nationally and already held some scholarship offers before he even played one game on the high school level. He’s a beast in the paint and can flat out get it done on both ends of the floor, constantly playing with a high motor.
Trinity of Raleigh 2020 Forward Isaiah Todd is a name that you already know about, as he is one that has offers school such as UNC and Kentucky. There were rumors that he would reclassify up to 2019 but that didn’t occur and it looks like he will be back to lead a team that went through some growing pains last season.
Greenfield School returns basically their entire roster and will look to pick up right where they left off last season. They took home the NCISAA State Championship for 1A and the scary part is they return pretty much their entire team that will be more experienced next season. Guard Djimon Bailey has made his commitment already to Wake Forest University and there are other prospects such as Trey Pittman, Jacari Outlaw and Creighton Lebo who also have picked up some good college interest.
Forsyth Country Day has a young talent in 2023 Guard Will Gray that you will want to keep an eye on in this event. We got the chance to see him for the first time at the Triad First 48 Event and was impressed with not only his on court play and potential but the desire to work and consistently get better.
Calvary Day School has a nice mixture of guard play and size that should make them an interesting team to see. They are going to be a younger group of course but expect them to get comfortable sooner than later and make nice strides over the year.
Cannon School Star Guard Jaden Bradley will be in the building of course! He is a player that has put up some monster games already as a freshman and is in the debate as one of the top guards in the country for 2022 and he is a top ranked player.
