The NBPA does a great job year after year getting some of the top talent from the United States and a few international guys in the gym together for a week to play games in front of national scouts, NBA scouts and for the first time ever, college coaches. Below are five guys that stood out to me. You can check my first part of standouts here
2020 6’11 Mady Sissoko
Sissoko was a guy that impressed each time out in front of me at camp. Standing at 6’10 and 230 pounds he was by far one of the more promising post players where he averaged 8.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Right now he is currently the top ranked player in the state of Utah for the class of 2020.
2020 6’4 Bryce Thompson
There was a lot of chatter about Bryce Thompson throughout the entire week of camp as he brought it each game out and made it look so easy when he put the basketball in the basket as he can score the basketball from all three levels. He earned all camp honors after finishing the week with 13.3 points per game. After the camp he took an unofficial visit to North Carolina.
2021 6’9 Paolo Banchero
Deservingly so, the Washington native earned MVP honors of the camp after pretty much dominating every game out. Banchero has now entered the conversation as being the possible number 1 player in the 2021 class after his performance last week. He finished the camp averaging 17.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
2020 6’5 Joe Bamisile
The Richmond, Virginia native did not have to travel far for camp and he certainly did not disappoint. It was the first time I have seen Bamisile play since he has committed to Northwestern and entered himself more on the national scene and he is a guy that has vastly improved his game and body since I have last seen him. He is a pure scorer that should put up some impressive numbers in the Big Ten. Major props to Northwestern for getting Bamisile off the board and to commit early.
2020 6’10 Dawson Garcia
Garcia was one of the three participants from Minnesota that participated in the camp and impressed with his ability to score the ball on offense where he is a good shooter considering his size at 6’10. During camp he averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds per game. Whoever lands Garcia’s services at the next level is getting a college ready scorer that should be able to contribute from day 1.
