Smith always dribbles with his head up and is very quick. He was also very active without the ball, moving around often. He didn’t have a great weekend shooting the ball but made up for it in other ways, scoring off of backdoor cuts and finishing well around the rim. Sometimes with his incredible vision, Andrew tries too hard to make the fancy pass or fit one in that it leads to turnovers. Overall though, I was very impressed with his ability to find the open man and create for his teammates. He was also very active on defense and was able to stay in front of his man and play great help defense. Smith is a kid that is able to make his teammates better and set them up for success with his passes. He’s young and has a very bright future ahead.
Strengths:
- Willing passer, would rather assist than score, unselfish
- Active, offense and defense
- Great vision, makes some incredible passes
- Gets to the middle of the floor, able to distribute
Weaknesses:
- Turnover prone, looks confused under ball pressure
- Needs to work on outside shot, gets blocked around rim
- Forces some passes
College Projection: Small college
