Omarion Henry 6’6″ Normandy: A very explosive young forward who is one of the sleepers of the 2021 class. The young man spends much of the game playing above the rim. He was good at getting rebounds and taking off coast to coast for a pretty finger roll or an resounding dunk. He has solid handles when he attacks the basket and he does the job on the offensive boards as well.
Mario Fleming 6’3″ Cardinal Ritter: The 2021 power guard had an excellent all-around game against McCluer North. He was tough around the basket on drives to the bucket and offensive rebounds. His perimeter game was also well as he showcased his improved perimeter shot and some nice passing skills as well.
Corey Sparkman 6’5″ Lift for Life: An athletic 2020 post player who competes hard and plays with a lot of activity, which made him very productive. He was tremendous on the boards on both ends and was constantly out of his area grabbing rebounds. He had a number of put backs and he also did excellent work as a shot blocker.
David Roberts 6’1″ Hazelwood Central: The energetic 2020 guard played with a tremendous motor throughout the evening. He was everywhere on both ends of the court. He had a sequence where he had five steals on five consecutive possessions. FIVE. He was just as relentless on the offensive end as he attacked the basket and also knocked down open 3-pointers.
Sylvon Mosley 6’3″ McCluer North: The 2020 wing player had a very impressive showing in the Stars’ two games. He was getting buckets on twisting drives, transition layups, offensive rebounds and mid-range jumpers. He played with a lot of energy and hunger. He looks ready to take a bigger load on a Stars’ team that graduated a very talented senior class.
Larry Hughes, Jr. 6’4″ CBC: A long and lanky young 2022 shooting guard, Hughes was one of the most impressive 3-point shooters that I watched during the evening’s action. He showcased excellent range and a pretty release off the catch. He can also beat defenders with a quick dribble move when they close out to hard.
