Dylan Branson 6’5″ Mehlville: The stocky perimeter player put in work at the Lindenwood Team Camp. In a victory over Ladue, he had his 3-pointer working as he knocked down five from long distance. He also showcased his versatility as he scored in the low post and on bully ball drives to the basket. He is a pinpoint passer who makes his teammates better.
Luke Kasubke 6’5″ Chaminade: The outstanding 3-point shooter displayed the other parts of his game at the SIUE Camp. One team was face-guarding him all over the court, so he did a nice job of facilitating and helping his teammates eat while not forcing his offense. He kept moving on offense and took advantage of his openings while also shooting the gaps on defense for a few steals and transition layups.
Harrison Vickers 6’5″ Chaminade: The multi-faceted wing player shot the ball well in a game against Edwardsville at SIUE. He knocked down a 3-pointer off the catch, on off a nice step back move and another in transition. He’s quite comfortable handling the ball and being a facilitator of the offense while also gobbling up his share of rebounds.
Nate Garrett 6’5″ Hazelwood Central: On a team full of capable offensive threats, the good sized wing showcased a lot of offensive tools. His handles are good enough for him to create shots off the dribble and his 3-point shooting is solid.
Sylvon Mosley 6’3″ McCluer North: The slender wing had a very impressive weekend scoring the ball at John Burroughs. He was very assertive from start to finish of every game as he scored on twisting drives, mid range jumpers and offensive rebounds. As a role player last season, he looks ready to take up a bigger role as a senior.
Devon Barstow 6’6 McCluer: The slender transfer from Marquette will add a lot of offensive punch for the Comets. He is a nice jump shooter, but I was impressed with how much he attacked the basket and took the contact, despite his thin frame.
David Roberts 6’1″ Hazelwood Central: The energetic wing played with a tremendous motto throughout the event. He was tough on both ends of the court. He was creating steals and turnovers on the press while attacking the rim and knocking down jumpers on offense.
Jordan Gilmore 6’3″ Hazelwood East: A solid wing player who has the ability the knock down 3-pointers in bunches when he is on his game. He did a good job of scoring on the drive against aggressive close outs.
Chris Hill 6’3″ Brentwood: A thick bodied wing player who knows how to put the ball in the basket. He was one of the top scorers in the St Louis area last season. His moves are deliberate, yet effective as he uses his physical strength to get where he wants to go.
