Mario Fleming 6’3″ Cardinal Ritter: The physical wing had a productive weekend at John Burroughs as the Lions went undefeated for the second consecutive weekend. He is a moose when he attacks the basket as he can overpower smaller guards to get buckets in the lane. His much improved guard skills such as ball handling and shooting enhance his overall game and make him a matchup problem.
Aahmod Scarbrough 6’2″ Hazelwood Central: An aggressive lefty who plays well when he is on the attack at both ends of the court. He is excellent in transition when he was able to run and swoop in and get buckets off the drive. He has also improved his 3-point shooting to compliment his hard attack game.
Anias Futrell-Yahwah 6’4″ McCluer: A welcome addition to the Comets program with his length and athleticism. He operates well in the transition and up-tempo game with his ability to attack the basket and create steals on the defensive end.
Emmanuel McLemore 6’3″ Wentzville Holt: An underrated power wing who displayed very impressive scoring chops at Lindenwood. He used his physical strength to bully ball defenders to the basket and score and he also had the ability to knock down perimeter jumpers. He’s a tough matchup with his strength and skills.
Isaiah Williams 6’2″ Lutheran North: A smooth lefty who plays a very controlled game on offense, but is very effective with it. He is strong on the drive where he can finish at the rim or score on soft pull up jumpers and floaters off the glass. He is also a capable 3-point shooter off the catch.
Jaden Winfield 6’4″ Chaminade: An athletic young wing with a good set of the fundamentals and the ability to score at all three levels. His athleticism is complimented by a high basketball IQ. He has strong passing skills and a nice looking jumper to boot.
Barcus Jackson 6’1″ Lift for Life: A smooth guard who has the ability to score and rebound well from the guard position. He handles the ball well and can knock down jumpers off the catch and create shots off the dribble.
Anthony Lewis 6’1″ St. Dominic: The thick-bodied wing was as good a 3-point shooter as I watched over the entire weekend of team camp action. He has excellent range and a quick release. He also moves well without the ball and comes off screens ready to shoot with the quick release.
Chris Porter 5’11” O’Fallon: A young microwave of a 3-point shooter who can really light it up from downtown when he is really on his game. He moves without the ball well and really stretches the floor with his long distance shooting.
Nate Parker 6’4″ Eureka: A solid young wing player who is ready to assume a bigger role in the Wildcats’ offense. He can knock down open 3-pointers and he combines that with good ball handling and passing skills. He rebounds well and can fill in many gaps with his versatility.
Brennan Weller 6’3″ Edwardsville: A very nice lefty who I watched for the first time at the SIUE Camp and I was impressed with his ability to get to his spots and score. He had solid moves off the dribble and his pull-up jumper was butter.
