Several players have already performed at a high level during these events and earned offers. Other athletes have taken unofficial visits. Here’s the latest in Alabama recruiting news…
Zondrick Garrett (Oxford)- The 6’7 forward has committed to South Alabama. Solid pick up for Coach Riley. Zondrick is a really versatile athlete, and this kid understands how to play without the ball. He is also a very good defender and underrated passer at his position.
Jadan Coleman (Bob Jones)- The 6’4 sniper has picked up an offer from VCU. VCU jumped on Jadan after the first live period. Jadan has really deep range and plays well without the ball. We expect more offers to come Jadan’s way through June and July.
Corey Boston (Lafayette)- The speedy point guard was on an unofficial visit to VMI recently. The VMI staff loves Boston’s ability to push the ball, to pick up full court defensively, and his competitive nature. VMI has been successful with smaller guards running the show, and the 5’11 Boston fits what they want to do.
Sam Youngblood (McAdory)- The 6’2 combo guard has been busy. This kid can really score the ball. Sam is one of the most improved players through the spring, and MM level schools have started to notice his ability. Recently, Sam took an unofficial visit at Lipscomb.
Mike Murry (Carver Montgomery)- Murry is a gifted athlete. At 6’2, he has no problem playing both guard positions. This kid was very aggressive and performed well at UAB’s play date. UAB offered Murry Saturday after seeing the guard compete at a high level.
Wren Cole (Danville)- The 6’0-6’1 point guard has picked up an offer from Huntingdon College. Cole is a prospect that can really shoot the ball, plays with a high IQ, and does all the little things. Cole has played well with the Nike Elite Stars this spring, and we expect more D3 and D2 level programs to show interest.
JD Davison (Calhoun)- Davison has made recent visits to Alabama and Auburn. The No. 92 player in the PrepHoops 2021 Top 250 has also picked up an offer from Ole Miss. This kid is a super athletic combo guard who rebounds very well from the perimeter and makes winning plays on both ends.
Tyrese Elliot (Sparkman)- Tyrese is a 2022 6’2 combo guard who is fearless. He earned an offer from UAB for how well he competed at the UAB play date. This kid can do it all, and he has the athleticism and skill set to play both on and off the ball.
Antonio Kite (Anniston)- Kite is a top 10 talent in the 2022 class. This kid is a 6ft combo guard that is gifted with speed, a tight handle, and the ability to score. Kite really is a special talent. Alabama and UAB have already offered, and they wont be the last.
