John Wegendt 5’10 PG / Marcus HS Flower Mound [HG Elite 15U] 2022
Has a strap on him. Played great all weekend and was big in the Title game as well. He shot 4/7 from behind the arc. Finished the game with 26 total points. He was able to take his man off the dribble as well. Knocked down some tough mid-range shots also.
Jaden Robinson 6’4 WG / Episcopal Dallas [HG Elite 15U] 2022
This long wing has a high motor. He is a play initiator. Controlled the pace of the game for the most part. Was able to get where he wanted when he wanted. Played solid defensively guarding a bigger post player. Finished the Title game with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Zechariah Selvage 6’0 PG / Cy Lakes [Katy Shooting Stars] 2020
He is super quick Guard that can change pace and direction at the drop of a dime. Has a quick release and good elevation on his shot. He ended up getting hurt in the game on Sunday but his early play in the first half was such a big factor that it set the time for the remainder of the game.
Jemarcus Holt 6’5 WG / Fort Bend Dulles HS [Houston Raptors] 2020
Played great the entire weekend and continued his stellar performance on day 3 as well. Even though his team came up short, his play was still huge in keeping it a tight game. He shoots the ball well from the top of the key. Has big long steps with great ball control. Decent on-ball defender and can turn it on in spurts at times. Conditioning is my only concern with Jemarcus and he’s a slender guy.
Kevin Mars II 6’3 SG / Cy Lakes HS [Katy Shooting Stars] 2020
Was the M.O.P. (Most Outstanding Player) of the entire tournament. He plays with a high motor. He shots the ball well from behind the arc. Has a good dribble pull-up package which he scored at a high rate. Got after loose balls. Was the leading scorer each game. In the Title game, he finished with 20 points and only missed 4 field goals total.
Jake Arnold 6’2 SG / Katy Taylor HS [Tecas Takeover Elite 16U] 2021
He was the best shooter of the entire tournament. He didn’t let up on his shooting ability as he went into the Title game. He netted 7 trey balls on 11 attempts. Finished the game as the 16U MVP and had a big 30 point outing. Great catch and shoot prospect with a super quick release and good elevation on his jumper.
