Two of Wisconsin’s top players in the 2020 class are now off the board. After attending Wisconsin’s team camp on Saturday, Greg Gard picked up verbal commitments from Johnny and Jordan Davis.

Johnny Davis, the second-ranked player in Wisconsin’s 2020 class, has held an offer from the Badgers since December 29th of 2017, but Jordan recently picked up a scholarship offer on June 5th.

On April 30, Johnny said, “As of right now I do not have my mind set on any college I will be attending in the future. I am open to any and all schools who decide to recruit me and am looking for the school that best fits me athletically and academically.” In March, he also told Prep Hoops Wisconsin that he was not thinking too much about college and that he was just trying to “enjoy basketball while I can.” Between then and now, something changed as the Badgers were able to cajole Johnny and his brother into committing.

This past year, the two brothers led La Crosse Central to a WIAA Playoffs semifinal birth before falling to Milwaukee Washington in overtime.

Combining for 35.7 points per game last year, the two Davis brothers have some unfinished business to take care of before they head off to Madison. With back-to-back trips to state resulting in defeat, Johnny and Jordan will look to win a Gold Ball on the same court that they will later compete on as Badgers.
