The recruiting game is tough. A lot of coaches are weary because their lively hood is on the line. One mistake could lead a coach packing. Many times recruiters will watch film and get an idea of what a player can do in some highlights. Then they see full game film. When it comes to Olympus High School SG Jeremy Dowdell he checks the box on both. When you see him play in person he passes the eyeball test as well.
Jeremy’s recruiting was a bit slow but he had offers from Washington State, Air Force and Dixie State. With a month till he departed on his 2 year Church Mission in Argentina. Dowdell still wasn’t sure to where he would commit.
Jeremy Dowdell owns the record for most 3-pointers made in a career. He would cross half court and be an automatic threat. With his back-court mate choosing the school on the hill. Jeremy has committed to play for Mark Pope and BYU.
Pope has been doing a great job of going after these well known local kids. The players him and his coaching staff can see and evaluate for themselves multiple times.
