COACH’S QUOTE
“The Weber brothers, Drew and Colin, played well and led all scorers. Drew played strong down low and finished well all tournament. He also expanded his game outside and shot well from beyond the arc. Colin distributed the ball well and dictated our pace of play. He made good decisions and shot well from the outside. We also had a few guys step up big: Trevor Smith, Kyle Pierce, and Nathan Tew. All three have picked up their game defensively and add more threats for our team on offense. Trevor Smith does all the little things for us that help us win, and Kyle Pierce and Nathan Tew hit big shots for us from the outside when teams played us zone. Tyler Zomerlei also played well for us, especially defensively, as such a good athlete, but he wasn’t able to be there all camp.” – Coach Jewett
“Overall, we’re playing good team basketball on both ends of the court. Our understanding of the system is the best it’s been, which bodes well for us going into next season. Our veteran guys are being great leaders, and our younger guys are learning fast as we’ve continued to build chemistry in team camps throughout June. It’s fun to see us play team pressure defense and play so unselfishly on offense. The guys are getting better and learning a lot, and that’s what it’s all about.” – Coach Jewett
