Kalib Matthews – Henderson Collegiate – 2020
Kalib Matthews is a guard prospect that’s set for a big summer as he enters his senior year. At 6-foot-3, he’s got all the length and handles in the world to get to the rim and finish with authority. He can also knock it down with relative ease from behind the arc. So far, he’s garnered interest from East Carolina, UMBC, Randolph-Macon and Virginia Wesleyan.
Wy’Kise Allen – South Granville – 2020
Wy’Kise Allen is a 6-foot-3 player that can play the guard and wing position. He’s finding his way as he enters his senior year at South Granville and starting to turn heads on the hardwood. Allen showed off his ability to create shots on all three levels throughout the invitational. He’s a prospect that should start getting some looks from some college programs.
Alvin Campbell – Heritage – 2020
Alvin Campbell is a prospect to keep an eye on at Heritage High School this season. Campbell is a 6-foot-5 forward that does a lot of the dirty work like crashing the offensive glass and making plays in the paint. He showed off an added step with the ball in his hands, making the right play often, even if it didn’t involve him scoring.
Nico Weaver – Henderson Collegiate – 2020
Nico Weaver will be a new addition to the Henderson Collegiate roster in 2019-20 and he’s certain to make an impact with his ability to shoot it and play defense. Weaver showed poise on the floor with his ability to knock it down from the arc. On defense, his on-ball pressure is something that should carry him.
Javonte Waverly – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Javonte Waverly is a 6-foot-2 combo guard that makes things happen when he’s on the floor. He can handle the ball and find his own shot without it, making him an X-Factor in next year’s rotation. Waverly has an opportunity to emerge as a hot commodity on the recruiting trail.
Akhiris Holden – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Akhiris Holden is another Henderson Collegiate forward who needs to get some eyes on him. He has quite the motor on both ends which makes for matchup problems all over the floor. Holden can knock down the 3-ball and finish above the rim when needed. As he puts on muscle, look for his stock to rise.
Kameron Ketrel Brooks – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Kameron Ketrel Brooks is an emerging combo guard that’s learning to make plays on the floor. He can knock it down from deep and is quite the slasher inside the arc. He’s got a wingspan that allows him to play the wing bigger than he really is.
Davon Allen – Henderson Collegiate – 2021
Davon Allen is a two-way player that makes his presence known when he’s on the floor. He can stretch the floor with his shooting but won’t hesitate to get physical and drive to the basket. His performance at the Henderson Invitational allowed him to earn an offer from Vance-Granville Community College, who was on hand for the event.
