He understands how to get his spots with minimal dribbling and stays within the flow of the team offense, you can even see him beginning to become more vocal as time goes on.
71st HS 2023 Forward Derrick Green: We have heard about him for a few years now as he was a standout on the middle school and AAU levels. The 6’7 big man showed some of the reasons why he is a name that you should get to know very well as he has some impressive potential in his game. Good hands, nice touch and a midrange game that will be extended to probably three point range over the next few years are all reasons why we feel he can be special.
Westover HS 2021 Guard Darius Jewell: We know how the saying goes “shooters shoot”, well that one way to describe his game. His role on the team is to let if fly when he’s open but he’s also become more comfortable with making plays off the dribble for his team.
Douglas Byrd 2021 Guard Keondrae Baines: A new transfer, he will have a chance to contribute at a pretty high level this season as the starting SG on the squad. The lefty showed his ability to knock down shots from three point land as well as getting after it on the defensive end of the floor.
Douglas Byrd 2021Guard Shawn Jones: Made some plays from the wing that we liked, he attacked the paint and forced the defense to collapse which allowed him the opportunity to make plays for his team. Somewhat of a streaky shooter he doesn’t necessarily classify as a knock down shooter but has the potential to be a solid overall player.
Jack Britt HS 2020 Guard Langston Davis: Last time we saw him was the first time we got the opportunity to see him playing the PG spot. Well we got to see him running the show once again and it appears that he’s getting use to being a PG plus the physical tools he possesses allows him to be a matchup problem.
