There were several familiar faces who stood out along with some new ones. Below is a quick rundown of 13 of those standouts.
JORDAN BRATHWAITE | 6’6 C | GLENELG COUNTRY ‘20
Brathwaite did what he does best. Run the floor, get rebounds, and finish around the basket. but also showed some new parts of his overall game, specifically with his ability to stretch the floor.
NOAH CHARLES | 6’0 G | GLENELG COUNTRY ‘20
Charles was a standout on both ends for his team. He defended well and got his team into their offense quickly.
TYMU CHENERY | 6’6 G | EPISCOPAL ‘20
Chenery got into the game initially on the defensive end with his high activity level and versatility. On the offensive side, he was best getting downhill and using his length to finish in traffic. Chenery finished well around the rim with either hand.
AUSAR CRAWLEY | 5’8 G | MOUNT ST. JOSEPH ‘21
Crawley was effective with and without the ball in his hands. He made shots and got others involved while being efficient and minimizing his turnovers.
KYLE GASKINS | 5’11 G | SPALDING ‘22
Gaskins showcased his impressive shot-making ability. He’s got some wiggle and a knack for creating some good scoring opportunities for himself.
COLE HANIN | 5’10 PG | BULLIS ‘21
Hanin ran the show at a high level. It started with his ball pressure and overall activity on the defensive end. Hanin brings high quality intangibles to the team and makes guys around him better.
SPENCER HAYES | 6’5 F | ST. ANDREW’S ‘20
Hayes is a smart team defender who knows how to sell contact. Offensively, he’s efficient with the ball, uses ball-fakes,
and has a knack for getting to the basket.
CHANDLER JOHNSON | 5’9 G | MOUNT ST. JOSEPH ‘20
Johnson stood out initially with his defense. He constantly picked up full and denied his man well off the ball. Offensively, he demonstrated good court vision and made smart plays with the ball.
DARIUS JOHNSON | 6’1 G | EPISCOPAL ‘21
Johnson found his rhythm early by knocking down a few standstill threes, but then showed the ability to create his own shot and make some tough ones, even through contact. He defended well especially in help side where he remained active and alert.
COLE PAAR | 6’9 C | GLENELG COUNTRY ‘21
Paar is a post technician with a diverse back-to-the basket game, good hands, and a soft touch. He made a steady impact on the boards, utilizing his frame and length to keep plays alive.
ERIK REYNOLDS | 6’2 G | BULLIS ‘21
Reynolds demonstrated a quick burst, change of pace and the ability to do a little bit of everything. He knocked down spot up threes with some consistency and made some highlight-worthy plays on defense.
MATT ROGERS | 6’8 C | GORETTI ‘20
Rogers impressed with his inside-out scoring ability as well as his intangibles. He was the most vocal player on the floor and gave his team a ton of energy
JAMAL WEST | 6’5 F | ST. FRANCES ‘20
West was productive on the boards and had several easy tip ins. He defended several positions and was effective on that end both on the perimeter and in the paint.
