Question:
What is the biggest strength in your game?
Devan Wilson:
I feel my biggest strength is being able to knock down shots and control the offense along with the tempo of the game. Also bring energy on both sides of the floor.
Question:
What has been a key in the development of your game?
Devan Wilson:
A key to my development has definitely been my dad and me just wanting to get better personally. I go to each tournament every weekend after working during the week to see how I match up and go back to work the next week.
Question:
How would you describe yourself as a basketball player?
Devan Wilson:
I’m a very go getter type of player if I want something I’m going to get it. If someone on the other team is scoring, I’m going to stop them.
Question:
What has been your best moment in basketball so far?
Devan Wilson:
My biggest moment in basketball has probably been when I was playing with UTS Elite 17u and we beat all Ohio EYBL 17u.
Question:
Who has been the toughest player that you’ve ever matched up with?
Devan Wilson:
The toughest player I’ve ever matched up against is easily Zeb Jackson. A freak of nature. Only gave me more motivation to work after playing him though.
Question:
What are your goals for this summer?
Devan Wilson:
This summer is separation summer. I really want to take my game to that next level and show everyone what I can do.
Question:
What professional players game reminds you of your own?
Devan Wilson:
I like to see myself and compare myself to a Klay Thompson type player. When I don’t have the ball I don’t stop moving, but when I do have to ball I can shoot it or get a bucket. But I’m picky with my shot selection. On the other end of the floor my defense is also going.
Question:
What is your favorite class in school? Why?
Devan Wilson:
My favorite class in high school is definitely Chemistry. Everyone said it was really hard but I personally loved it and thought it was all so interesting.
