Malik Henry – 6’8″ – PF – Longview (57 Spots) ⭐⭐⭐ |
Nobody has made as big of a jump in the rankings as Malik Henry has. A relatively unknown prospect coming into his junior season, Henry has increased his stock by a ton since first being ranked by Prep Hoops Texas in the February postseason update. At 6-foot-8, Henry is explosive around the rim and revealed his gifts on arguably the best circuit in grassroots basketball. Since the spring season began, Henry has garnered offers from Louisiana Tech, Oral Roberts, and Samford.
Marcus Williams – 6’2″ – SG – Dickinson (48 Spots) |
Williams was a player we feared we may have had way too low after playing junior varsity basketball this past season due to transfer rules. After a great spring showing, including a 30-point performance matching up against five-star guard Daishen Nix, it is safe to say that he has proved us right as he has earned himself a spot within the top 20. Williams exhibits terrific energy on both ends of the floor and keeps his foot on the gas each second he is on the court. He can stroke the perimeter jumper off the dribble, triple threat, or catch and his hands are always active while sitting down on his man.
Norman Beckford – 6’6″ – PF – San Antonio Brennan (48 Spots) |
Norman Beckford is in the conversation for the best prospect in San Antonio. The undersized forward is a force on the glass and a true dump-off/lob target around the rim. Beckford is currently without any offers but his motor and awareness defensively will definitely attract college coaches by the end of July.
C.J. Kelley – 6’9″ – C – Texas High (40 Spots) |
Like Henry, Kelley was another unknown prospect entering his junior season. The lengthy athletic forward makes the jump after continuing to show promise on the floor during the spring season. A season in which he has earned scholarship offers from Louisiana Tech, New Mexico, and Samford. Expect for Kelley to make another jump if he can show consistent aggression and the willingness to play physical on both ends of the floor.
