Forte is a playmaker that has sneaky good explosiveness and athleticism. He also is a pass first point guard that can really distribute the ball well to his teammates.
“I think I am at my best playmaking, defending, I am more of an energy guy and I like to have that role on the team.”
He is heading into the AAU season after a good high school season, he said, “It went well, we only lost 9 games so we had a pretty good productive season.”
Forte is hoping to lead his team to a productive July, “The Spring has been going well recently, we did well at Big Shots but we just want to keep getting better before July”
One thing that college coaches will definitely see when they can evaluate Forte in July is his playmaking ability.
“When my teammates are throwing lobs I like to catch them and especially finish them but like I said I like to play make more than anything.”
When talking about colleges, Forte said he is receiving interest from “VCU, Oklahoma State, East Carolina and Appalachian State.”
When asked if he is visiting any schools in the near future, he said, “I will be taking a visit between June 5th and June 16th to Appalachian State.
He talked to us about the Sun Belt program, “I like the program, they are interesting, I like the way they play, I talk to Frank Young so it is interesting and it should be a good look.”
