I believe the 5/12 matchup between Flint Hill and Bullis is going to be the most intriguing matchup of the first round. Flint Hill is not a typical 12 seed as they are much better but because of tiebreakers that is where they landed on the seed line. Flint Hill is led by a pair of 2020’s in Noel Brown and Dowar Jioklow who both landed new offers after playing in the DMV Live Period this past weekend. Bullis is led by highly touted rising sophomore Rodney Rice who finished the regular season averaging 17.3 points per game. It is important to note that Rice has been battling a wrist injury so it will be interesting to see if that affects his play in the coming days.
Tiebreaker Galore
We saw multiple tiebreakers decide the final seedings for the playoffs which should ultimately mean these playoff games are going to be highly contested. Below we break down how close the regular season was and the tiebreakers that took place.
7 teams tied at 6-4 to determine the 10-16 seeds
4 teams tied at 7-3 to determine the 6-9 seeds
3 teams tied at 9-1 to determine the 3-5 seeds
2 undefeated teams to determine the 1-2 seeds
