CLIFTON, VA -- Prep Hoops was in the gym this afternoon checking out some 17U action at the Battle of NoVA. Coaches from schools like Eastern Mennonite, Mary Washington, Merchant Marine Academy, and Randolph Macon were spotted in the gym. Below is a full notebook of thoughts from the event.

Zack Blue of Patriot HS showcased the total package this afternoon. Knock down three-point shooter with a quick release. Quick, crafty ball-handler who can attack close outs, breakdown a defense and make plays in half court or transition. Exceptional rebounding guard. Takes charges. Competes. Hustles. Communicates.

MARINO DIAS | 5'9 G | PRO LOOK-GILREATH

Marino Dias caught fire for Pro Look today. He is a confident spot up shooter with deep range. Dias can attack close outs. He can also run ball screen actions and find the roller with a pocket pass. Dias showcased a nice floater. He rebounds and defends with tenacity on the ball.
